John Sabo
Director of Performance
John has over 10 years of experience in sport specific training in addition to his distinguished collegiate, international and professional ice hockey career. John spent his formative years training, studying and working with renowned strength and conditioning coach Mike Boyle, who is the strength and conditioning coach for Boston University, The Boston Bruins and the Men and Women’s US National Teams.
In addition, John was captain of the US Developmental Hockey Team, US World Junior Hockey Team and Boston University Hockey Team. He employed strength, speed and power training to excel and reach his maximum potential. “All successes in my hockey career came from speed and power training,” adds John. “The sports specific program that I have developed will get you stronger and faster for competition at the highest
levels.”
Sean Cromarty
Performance Specialist
As a member of the Maximum Performance staff, Sean Cromarty
brings a wealth of hockey experience as well as sport specific training knowledge.
A 2000 graduate of Upper Canada College preparatory school in Toronto and
member of the Wexford Raiders hockey club, Sean earned a scholarship to
WCHA powerhouse Colorado College after back-boning the varsity team to 3
provincial tournaments and 3 ISAA and TDCAA championships.
As four year letter winner (2000-04) at Colorado College, Sean was part
of a team which appeared in 3 NCAA tournaments, won a WCHA championship in 2003, and made 4 consecutive WCHA Final Five tournaments.
Following graduation, Sean spent time with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL during the 2004-05 season.
Beyond playing experience:
Sean brings a wealth of fitness knowledge to our athletic training programs. As both an ACSM and AMFPT certified personal trainer, and the personal tutelage of former professional body builder and American Council of Sports Medicine master trainer Gary
Steinart, Sean has gained valuable knowledge in the benefits of weight training, athletic movement (speed development) stretching, pre-hab and proper nutrition.
