About Us Performance Team Training Programs Advisory Board Joint Venture

Maximum Performance’s training programs are offered to athletes in three different types of settings:

                  1. Personal Training (1 on 1 instruction)
                  2. Small Group Training (2-6 athletes)
                  3. Team Training (12+)

In order to increase an athlete’s speed, strength and agility, Maximum Performance breaks down the training into three different session types:

                  1. Explosive Speed and Conditioning (1 hour)
                  2. Strength and Power Training (1 hour)
                  3. Combo Speed and Strength (1.5 hours)

     Explosive Speed and Conditioning

This session consist of focusing on improving the body’s ability to
move. It involves proper techniques that teach the body to move more
explosively but in control from one point to another. Athletes will work
extensively on:

                   •First three steps of acceleration
                   •Linear/lateral speed
                   •Footwork
                   •Multidirectional movements
                   •Speed Development
                   •Balance
                   •Agility
                   •Coordination
                   •Movement Mechanics
                   •Flexibility
                   •Injury Prevention

     Strength and Power Training

Maximum Performance’s strength training program incorporates a lot of single extremity movements. This allows the athlete to train functionally or more sport specific. Multi-joint, explosive and balance activities are also incorporated in this type of strength training. Along with building muscle, it also enhances the working relationship between the muscles and the neurological system. In order for an athlete to get faster and more explosive, they must increase their strength. Athletes will be able to transfer their gains from the weight room straight to their sport.

Both Sessions Also Include:

     Core Training

Maximum Performance provides a program that improves posture, coordination, and injury prevention by focusing on the proper training of the torso muscles. For an athlete, the torso is one of the most important parts of the body to train. It connects upper body strength with lower body strength and is frequently miss trained.

     Assessment

An individual assessment is performed on each athlete that attends Maximum Performance Institute. The main purpose of  this assessment is to establish and understand goals and specific needs of each athlete. These individual goals may include improvement in speed, power, agility, endurance, stability, nutrition and fat loss.  A program will be tailored to fit the needs and goals of each athlete.

    Flexibility

This is one of the most overlooked areas of training. It is also one of the most miss-trained. MPI provides their athlete with the proper stretching and warm-up techniques.  Both active and continuous mobility stretches are used as a warm-up before training. Flexibility stretching is used as a cool down after each workout. This allows the muscles to stretch and the joints to loosen which helps increase speed and explosiveness.

     Pre-Hab

Every exercised performed in our program is based on injury reduction.  Many of the exercises that are performed at MPI don’t include a stabilized load. This is important for injury reduction because it prepares the body for sport activity. Most sports are played in an environment where stability is not provided by an outside force. So, why would anyone train on a machine where the load is already stabilized? MPI prepares an athlete for sport by using multi-joint movements where the body is forced to balance itself.  The same muscles are used while training that are used while playing a sport.  This creates injury reduction cause the muscles are prepared for competition.

     Education and Nutrition*

Maximum Performance Institute wants their athlete to experience more than just a training session when coming to workout. It wants their athlete to have proper training, nutrition, and health become a part of their life. MPI provides the athlete with individualized nutritional value sheets, frequency of meals per day, description of high and low glycemic foods, hydration and supplementation. MPI is an educational system where the athlete learns how the mind and body work together to create maximum performance.

     Life Style Change*

MPI is not only for athletes looking to enhance their performance, but for anyone looking to change the way they live. The use of Functional Training can benefit anyone looking to make life less strenuous. Maximum Performance Institute will evaluate each client and provide a program and diet that is designed for your specific needs. It provides the proper training techniques and nutrition that will change the way you live. Maximum Performance Institute is a Life Style.
